New Mexico Borderland Animal Rescue Coalition
100% Volunteer Run - Nonprofit - No Kill - Foster/Shelter - Based Rescue
We are dedicated to stopping the killing of adoptable healthy cats and dogs in Southwest New Mexico shelters and beyond.
We are committed to improving the quality of life for cats and dogs who are in need of food, appropriate shelter, and veterinary care through our community outreach, Good Neighbor Program, which serves our low-income, homeless, senior, and veteran populations.
Our Board of Directors and Advisory Board Members have extensive years of experience in animal rescue, advocacy, and training. We have many volunteers who are helping to accomplish our mission of 95% No Kill in Southwest New Mexico Shelters.
Volunteer with NM BARC
As an organization built entirely on volunteer efforts, we are always looking for people willing to contribute their time, skills, and talents to support our efforts.
Volunteers can help in various ways, including:
Fostering animals to help them adjust to new placements
Feeding and walking dogs at area shelters
Participating in Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, and Return (TNVR) activities
Transporting dogs and cats to other shelters within NM or across state lines
Raising awareness via social media
Helping with various short-term projects
Events! We always need help with our yard sales, adoption events, Day of Giving, and so many more…..
